The Black Lagoon

Although I did not get into reading until much later in life, I do recall receiving these books when I was younger. My mother used to get me these to try to get me into reading because she knew reading was good. These are the books from my childhood. “The Black Lagoon.” This was a whole series.

“The Black Lagoon” is a series of picture books about a boy afraid of some of everything. It would be humorous because the mind has a way of “making a mountain out of a molehill.” This was this kid’s deal, simply.

Reading is fundamental. This would be a cool catalyst to get one’s child or children into reading as well. I read a few of these back then, but for another, this series could be what propels them into book reading.
